Anti-inflammatory protein smoothie

Hot girls eat more anti-inflammatory meals and this smoothie is one of them. If you're dealing with an itchy scalp, hair loss, active acne or inflamed red skin, read on. I was there once too and here's how I healed it.

Say hello to your new fav recipe <3

"There is no method to achieving your dreams, it's only consistency that'll get you there"

My daily smoothie is the one thing I look forward to more than ever, because it’s quite literally packed with nutrients and healing ingredients specifically for me. Cosmix healthy hair and skin mix is crafted with herbs and ingredients that are not easy to find, but great for you if you have hair fall and acne. The main culprit here is inflammation, be in on your scalp, your skin or in your gut, and the best way to knock em all down in a single shot is through an inflammatory diet. That’s where this smoothie comes in.

Read on if you want to know more about how the ingredients contribute to healthy hair and skin <3

Cosmix is a brand I've been an avid follower of, and consumer too. I've collaborated with them, I've shopped almost all their sales and tried nearly all their products to finally settle on a few that I consistently buy each time I run out. In fact, I don't let myself run out of these. It's only after 4 years did I reach out to them for a discount code since so many of you have been loving my recipes. Use "naims10" for 10% off your entire order!

Ever since I've battled with severe cystic acne and stress related hair fall, I've taken every medication you can imagine, and even changed dermatologists a few times. The only trust I had was in myself, and coupled with loads of research and actively working on reducing my cortisol levels, I changed my habits and lifestyle drastically.

The first step was this smoothie routine I built for myself that satiated hunger, helped me stay on track with my protein intake while healing my inflammation from the inside out.

Lets get into it

- 2 cups mango (frozen or fresh, and during off season replace with pineapple)

- 2 scoops of Cosmix protein powder in pina colada, vanilla or mango (40g protein)

- 1/2 tsp each Cosmix healthy hair and feel good skin (linked below for easy access)

- water + ice as needed

- 3 tablespoons yogurt of your choice

- add any greens that you like (optional) but a tablespoon on wheatgrass or spirulina or green powder blend would be great here

- Blend and drink chilled!

Now lets talk about the Cosmix feel good skin mix and why I love it. It contains burdok root which is a powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial so its great for active acne. Centella helps acne heal faster and especially heals redness and irritated skin. Maqui berry is also an extremely powerful anti-oxidant that heals your cells and improves digestion, so if you have gut issues (which affects hair and skin!) this ingredients will aid in its healing.

Now coming to my absolute fav, the healthy hair mix, which contains bamboo shoot powder and nettle, both support hair and skin health, as well as nail health due to its high silica content.  Amla, we all know this ancient Indian fruit that is excellent for hair growth, but coupled with the brilliant zinc and anti-oxidant rich goji berry is a powerful duo to aid in your hair growth journey.

Now finally, why I recommend the Cosmix Protein powder over any other plant protein is because it contains ingredients that heal your gut and prevent bloating (which most protein powders cause). It contains fenugreek, cumin, fennel and ginger all of which heal an irritated gut, and reduce inflammation in the gut and body too. But I promise, you can't taste it!

Give these a try for 3 months and watch your hair and skin transform!
